  • Occasions when husband or wife can nullify Nikah

    2388. If the husband comes to know after Nikah that his wife has any one of the following seven deficiencies, he can annul the marriage:


    1-Insanity, even if it is intermittent.

    2-Leprosy

    3-Leucoderma

    4-Blindness

    5-Being crippled, even if it is not to the extent of immobility.

    6- if the husband finds that the wife at the time of Nikah, suffered from 'Ifdha' - meaning that her urinary and menstrual tract have been one, or her menstrual passage and rectum have been one.

    7-Presence of flesh or a bone in the woman's uterus, which may or may not obstruct sexual intercourse or pregnancy.
